According to a March 10 tweet from the Bitcoin (BTC) podcaster, Peter mccormack, Twitter recently suspended at least six accounts related to cryptocurrencies.
The accounts include some of the most prominent crypto figures on Twitter with over 300,000 subscribers, such as Bitcoin on-chain analyst Willy Woo and BTC Stock-to-Flow model creator PlanB, as well as the cryptocurrency advocate, TheCryptoDog. Other industry related accounts such as MMCrypto, TheMoon, Koroush AK and WSBChairman, which claims the account is not associated with Reddit’s r / WallStreetBets community, have also been suspended.

At the time of publication, Five of the listed accounts remain inaccessible, while Willy Woo and PlanB’s accounts appear to have recovered. As of this writing, the PlanB account appears to be fully restored, while Willy Woo has around 600 followers.
Despite a brief suspension from PlanB, Twitter did not remove some of the imitators of the prominent crypto influencer. Twitter user Ankeborgare he pointed what some fake PlanB accounts like 100TrillionUSDT and 100TrillionUSDD were not suspended on Twitter as part of the last series of suspensions.
On March 8, Twitter Support declared what the platform has been experiencing an “increase in cases” of erroneous account suspensions.
Twitter did not immediately respond to Cointelegraph’s request for comment.
