In Episode 3 of Abnormal Investing, we take a look at another blockchain game with virtual real estate, token, and NFTs (nonfungible-tokens) in the world of Axie Infinity! Axie Infinity is a partially user governance game built on the blockchain, that aims at becoming fully decentralized in a few more years. In Axie Infinity, players can buy, sell, or trade Axies (pokemon like creatures that can be upgraded and battle), virtual real estate, items, and more. Axie Infinity is the beginning stages of a decentralized blockchain digital economy, as the creators of Axie are aiming to combine work and play allowing players to earn AXS token rewards through the Axie infinity world, by playing, trading, and staking. Some of the prices of the virtual land, Axies, and items may surprise you! Axie Infinity is built on the Ethereum blockchain and currently powered by ETH (Ethereum coins) with the ability use both the AXS token, and ETH for purchases. So far out of the blockchain Ethereum games I’ve looked at, Axie Infinity seems to be strong competition for other NFT – virtual real estate and asset investing worlds.
